Middle class tax relief

By a vote of 234-188, the House passed H.R. 4853, the Middle Class Tax Relief Act that makes permanent the cuts on taxable income under $200,000 for individuals and $250,000 for married couples. The extension includes lower tax rates for capital gains and dividends, elimination of the “marriage penalty,” and an expansion of the increased child tax credit.
